For some reason Mercedes decided to replace Renault's 1.6 diesel in the facelifted W205 and W213 with its own engine. It took the successor of the 651 2.2L, made it a 2.0-litre with code 654, and then downsized it to 1.6 litres.
Here we have that 654 engine rated at 122 hp, which makes more on the dyno, as we have seen from Mercedes before.
It measured 133ps with 319Nm of torque. After Stage 1: 168ps with 404Nm of torque.
