The customer had had his car remapped elsewhere. He had noticed a huge rise in fuel consumption and "strange" behaviour, with the power coming in early and then dying away, as he described it. That is exactly how it was on the dyno. The ECU was returned to factory software, the car was measured again to confirm all was well, and the remap was done from scratch. With the other tuner's software: 170ps. Stock: 160ps. With Microchips Stage 1: 175ps, with power held properly across the rev range and normal air-fuel ratios in everyday driving.
