Do piggyback boxes deliver what they promise? This Picanto 1.1 CRDi had worn one for years, and the owner wanted to know what it really gained. We measured it on the dyno:
- With the piggyback box: 80ps and 190Nm
- Stock, without the box: 73ps and 170Nm
- With Stage 1 on the original ECU: 93ps and 210Nm
The piggyback gave a small gain. With a proper remap, though, the car gained 20ps and 40Nm over stock.
