Hyundai entered the small-turbo class strongly, with the three-cylinder 1.0 T-GDi standing as a worthy rival to the Ford Fiesta and VW Polo. This 2021 Hyundai i20 came to Microchips Tuning to get what it was missing: more power, more torque and better response. On our dyno it measured 103 hp and 186 Nm in stock form. With our remap it reached 141 hp and 231 Nm, a gain of +38 hp and +45 Nm. We care about more than peak figures; what matters is how the car performs across the whole operating range: linear power and torque curves, smooth and progressive delivery, proper control of fuelling and air-fuel ratio, and a tailored calibration built around reliability.
