Ford Fiesta MK7.5 1.0L EcoBoost 140hp

A Fiesta with 140 factory horsepower visited us for a proper remap. Once again, though, the factory figure was not what the dyno showed: the car measured 127 hp and 178 Nm. This is not unusual on the 1.0 EcoBoost engines that come in for tuning, since mileage, normal wear and the car's condition all play their part. During the inspection we also found the classic turbo problem, with the wastegate actuator not closing the flap properly, something we have come across many times on these engines. It doesn't mean the car will stop tomorrow, but the owner should plan to replace the turbo in the coming years. After the remap: from 127 to 145 hp and from 178 to 235 Nm, a gain of +18 hp and +57 Nm, for a stronger yet properly controlled Fiesta.
