//Notes
Before the remap, the Peugeot 2008 1.5 BlueHDi 130 PS went on our dyno and showed 123 PS and 270 Nm, slightly below Peugeot's factory figures. Such a shortfall can come from several factors, such as fuel quality, a loaded or partly blocked DPF, especially on cars that mostly do short urban trips and don't complete their regenerations properly, and the accumulated wear of a high-mileage engine.
We then carried out a Stage 1 remap, with a final result of 153 PS and 335 Nm, a gain of +30 PS and +65 Nm over the real stock measurement.
Our extensive experience with Peugeot and Citroën 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 and 2.0 litre engines lets us know their limits in practice: how far to push and where to stop. A proper calibration is the right balance between performance, thermal load, mechanical stress, longevity and reliability.
