Mercedes-Benz C180 W204 M274 1.6L Turbo 156hp

156 factory horsepower… or maybe not? This Mercedes W204 C180 Facelift with the M274 1.6 Turbo engine came to us for dyno testing and a remap. The M274 is the evolution of the highly successful M271 and has proven to have significant tuning potential when the calibration is done properly. Before any work, the car was measured on our dyno at 154 hp and 268 Nm. After the ECU remap, aimed at a result that is efficient, safe and enjoyable in daily use, it reached 181 hp and 330 Nm. The difference on the road is immediately noticeable: the engine wakes up from low revs, acceleration is fuller across the rev range and overtaking is much easier. Power is delivered with smooth curves and a factory feel, without sudden surges, preserving the reliability you expect from a Mercedes.
