Ford Kuga Mk3 1.5L EcoBoost 3-cyl

The new Ford Kuga with the well-known three-cylinder 1.5 EcoBoost engine, also found in the Fiesta and Focus, came to us to get the power it deserves. With a full exhaust system and a cone air filter, the car measured 147 ps and 254 Nm on the factory software. With our custom calibration the result rose to 208 ps and 312 Nm. The difference on the road is huge, especially in a heavy SUV like the Kuga: much better pull from low revs, sharper in-gear response and far easier overtaking without constant downshifts. Properly managed, this engine transforms the car's character while keeping refined operation and a factory driving feel, whether in town or on a loaded trip.
