//Notes
Renault's 1.5 diesel engines have shown for many years why they are considered among the most successful in their class. With millions of kilometres in Renaults, Nissans, Dacias and Mercedes, they have built a reputation for reliability, low fuel consumption and durability. It is no coincidence that Mercedes used them in models such as the A-Class, CLA and GLA.
With a proper remap these engines are transformed: better response, more low-end torque and more relaxed driving, while keeping their economical character.
This A-Class with 109 factory horsepower measured 105 hp and 235 Nm on our dyno. With our remap it comfortably reached 131 hp and 320 Nm, with textbook curves. The car now drives much more easily and pleasantly both day to day and on trips, and on longer journeys there is also a small improvement in fuel consumption.
