We know the VAG group's 1.8 TFSI engines very well, having carried out dozens of successful upgrades in recent years. The customer entrusted us with his car for a software upgrade.
The car measured 154 hp and 229 Nm stock on the dyno. After our remap, output rose to 227 hp and 356 Nm.
From the start it was clear the clutch was already worn, as the pedal engagement point was quite high. With the extra power the problem became more obvious and the clutch began to slip. The next step is to replace it, so the customer can enjoy the car as it should be.
