Mercedes-Benz CLK 200 W209 1.8L Kompressor M271

The owner of this car with the Mercedes 1.8 Kompressor engine, having seen many of our builds, trusted us with a first-stage upgrade with a pulley. From the very first dyno pull we realised something was wrong, as the engine was not building the boost it should. The initial measurement with the fault was 150 hp and 200 Nm. The Meletiou brothers' workshop on Piraeus Avenue traced the problem to a split intake hose. The hose was replaced, a 62 mm pulley was fitted and we then carried out the calibration. The final result after the repair, the pulley and the custom calibration was 208 hp and 288 Nm, with excellent running, instant response and much fuller power across the rev range from Mercedes' very good and reliable M271 Kompressor.
