Mercedes' Kompressor engines need no introduction: they perform superbly even past 200,000 km. And the SLK R171? Timeless. Twenty years on, it stands proudly beside the latest-tech models.
In this case we have the 184ps version with a Stage 2 setup: 62mm pulley, 4-2-1 headers and a filter in the factory airbox.
Final result: 230ps / 308Nm. A more than satisfying gain, with a sporty feel and no sacrifice in reliability.
