A favourite engine, BMW's four-cylinder N47, here in the 1.6-litre version (there is also a 2.0) with 115 hp. They always make a bit more than their rated output, in this case 120ps with 266Nm of torque.
Final result: 152ps with 355Nm of torque, with flawless running and nice curves.
